DAYSIM File Type: DAYSIM weather file

The DAYSIM header file consist of a series of date and time stamp along with a pair of direct and diffuse irradiances. The file is used by ds_illum to generate an annual illuminance profile. The general format of the file is an optional six line header file followed by  typically 8670 lines (note see below) with month day and hour in local time as well as direct and diffuse irradiances or luminances. The format of the input varialbe is specified using the keyword wea_data_short_file_units. Most users will generate DAYSIM weather files using epw2wea but ds_shortterm or measured data form a private weather station constitute viable alternatives.
